Most homeowners need a 20-yard. Choose a 30-yard for an active construction site or whole-house remodel, and a 40-yard for mobile home demolition or land clearing. If the load is concrete, dirt or roofing, weight decides the size, not volume: concrete goes in a 20-yard only, never a 30 or 40 — see the table.

A 20-yard roll-off is roughly 22 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall — about the footprint of two parked cars. It holds around 7–8 pickup-truck loads or 110–120 contractor bags and comes with 3 tons of included weight.
Included tonnage is 3 tons on a 20-yard, 4 tons on a 30-yard and 6 tons on a 40-yard. Anything above that is billed per ton at the Polk County landfill rate. Concrete, dirt, brick and roofing shingles are dense, so those loads are capped by weight, not by how full the container looks. Concrete goes in a 20-yard only.
Our fleet is 20, 30 and 40-yard containers. For small jobs a 20-yard is usually the same price a broker charges for a 10-yard and gives you twice the room. If you only have a pickup load or two, our junk removal crew is often the cheaper option.
Call before the pickup and we will swap in a second container or a larger one. Going a size up at the start is cheaper than a second haul, which is why we ask about the project before quoting.
